I know a few people who voted for McCain who are still voting against Amendment Two, which would eviscerate domestic partnerships across the state, regardless of the will of the people in cities and towns that have allowed domestic partnership registries for years. So if you have friends and family and flisters in Florida, regardless of who they're voting for for President, please encourage them to vote NO ON TWO.

I've been telling everyone to vote no on two. . . Even a few friends who are anti-gay rights (many heated debates over that) I've won them over with the mention that it hurts so many elderly people who have partnerships because getting married would hurt pensions, etc. . . Especially in Florida, Domestic Partnerships don't just benefit gay people.

I told one friend. . . That voting no on this amendment is worth going to vote for. . .Of course, LOL! She's pro-McCain so my comment that I didn't care if she voted for President was lost!

It's a mean, vindictive amendment. . . I can't believe it is on the ticket, let alone sporting a current approval rate of 55 %. . . It needs 60% to pass but that seems too close for comfort for me!

Omg I got the full story on this issue when I was in Florida last week.

How anyone could pass this issue is totally beyond me.
