What?
Tom Felton's man-pain, in musical form.

What?!?
Sarah Jessica Parker with, um, a hat. (Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] sparkly_stuff)

Whut?
Yes, I finally did the Bela-centric vid that I've wanted to do since December - it's set to "Stairway to Heaven".

No, not the Led Zep original. It's a cover by an act called BEATNIX, and when I first heard it, it occurred to me how much Dean Winchester would hate this version, and of course, there are few, if any, humans that he hates as much as he's hated Bela.

So I put the two together. And now here's the vid, which is spoilery for all of Season Three of Supernatural, including Episode 3.15 ("Time Is On My Side"). I hope you'll like it if you like Bela as a character, or if you like Lauren as an actress, or, in fact, if you hate both of them. I can't explain - just watch. :D

Title: And She's Buying

Song: Stairway to Heaven

Artist: Performed by BEATNIX

Rating: PG

Characters: Bela Talbot, Winchesters

Spoilers: Supernatural Season Three through 3.15

Download it: medium-sized version is here on MegaUpload, right-click and save here on my own server, watch it on imeem or

Notes: The CG image at the end of the vid was created by [livejournal.com profile] priscellie; love and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cedarlibrarian, [livejournal.com profile] deirdre_c and [livejournal.com profile] lostt1 for beta comments and thoughts on where to rip the vid apart and put it back together again.

Oh, Supernatural, why do you force me to generate such crack?

I'm going to upload [livejournal.com profile] priscellie's art as a "dvd cover" next week when I don't have to fret as much about it being spoilery for the end of 3.15...

Yay! I do love it so, hon. MAY QUEEEEEN! SONGBIRD! (*oooohs!*)

And the tombstone turned out wonderfully well! :D

GO YOU!

(Alas, I do not have a Bela icon. You'll have to accept Ruby as a substitute. Let the wank begin. *g*)

Sam totally is the May Queen! And Dean, our own little songbird. Or peacock. Not sure which.

Do peacocks sing?

I thought about mentioning those as part of the summary/enticement; maybe I'll edit them in.

Sam Winchester *is* The May Queen.
Dean Winchester *is* The Songbird Who Sings.
And Bela is buying the stairway to heaven!

*applauds*

I *adore* the tombstone. Wicked!

I don't think I've ever heard Led Zep done in quite so Beatlesesque a way...you're right, Dean would've *hated* it.

Well done.

And Tomf's man-pain in clothing form would be those pants he's wearing. XD But still, he's a pretty talented musician!

And what do you use to edit your videos with? I really liked that Bela vid!

Hee, yes! And he does a nice guitar.
I use Windows Movie Maker - the standard package, 99% of the time, although I have two extra programs that I sometimes use to prep clips.
I really need to learn Adobe Premiere....
And thank you for the sweet comment! Much appreciated!

There's a Richard Thompson version of Oops I Did It Again? That's just *awesome*.

I love that version of King of the Road.

I'm guessing Dean wouldn't care about Rufus' version of "Hallelujah" that's on Shrek...I bet his mother was a Leonard Cohen chick, though. *grins*

Did I ever tell you about the first time I saw CH live, it was when they had Richard Thompson opening for them and he joined them to play "Sister Madly"? It was at UMass Amherst for the Woodface tour and they had Tim with them and I had front row center seats. Totally by accident. And my roommate Eva, who was a big RT fan was so thrilled with our seats she kissed me right on the lips!

Jeff Buckley's is my definitive "Hallelujah". Although I like John Cale's on "I'm Your Fan".

I liked it. I like the premise of this vid and how you went about it. I thought it was an interesting study of Bela. I also think there should be more vids for her in general, because she was awesome.

Nah, she wasn't such a bad character in the end, but trying to shoot Sammy just to get out of the deal...baaaaaaaaaad move for sympathy!
Anyways nice video.
And OMG...Tom Felton sings? In a not so good voice at that...don't know yet what to think of it...

He's so Tom. Back when I was on staff at Leaky Cauldron, he emailed us, and it was just so teen-tastic, it was adorable and he endeared himself to me forever.

And thanks for your comment on the vid! So glad you liked it!

Hey Heidi.

I've finally had a chance to catch with this vid. This is wonderful - perfect song choice and, ya know, I think it made me like Bela just that bit more (not that I particularly disliked her - just ....). I loved the clips you chose for her. She did have some good moments.

I had a smile on my face all the way through - well, until the end and then I really did feel sorry for her. Loved the tombstone! :D

Thank you so much! From the minute I heard the song last year, I've just been going over it again and again in my head, and it was almost a relief to finally get it edited and view-able.

And [livejournal.com profile] priscellie did such a fantastic job with the tombstone! If Lauren comes to EyeCon I am definitely bringing her a print of that.
