It looks horrible.
It is horrible.
Has anyone read Paul Theroux's dystopic O-Zone, which takes place in a world where mountain-building - out of concrete and asphalt, to change the *weather* - is a major industry?
The book doesn't include much about the pollution aspect of that practice and iirc it predates mainstream discussion of global warming so that's not included either. But this destruction of mountains reminds me of that book.
Ugh.
