It was 1985, and my sister and I brought a cassette player and a set of headphones to share, and one of the tapes we brought was Air Supply's Greatest Hits and we fell asleep to it almost every night. I've always had a soft spot for the vaguely utterly cheesiness of Air Supply, and a particular adoration for All Out Of Love, which is why John Barrowman's version of it makes me just flail with the squeeing. Well, flail and O_)O a bit, too.
Watch the John Barrowman - All Out Of Love video now

Wow. And Hee!

Okay, I'm off to preorder the album now! Okay, or not. 43 bucks? Meep. Anyone in the UK interested in picking up a copy as some random ASDA or something and sending it over? I'll either paypay you for it + shipping, or send you something US-ish in trade. Like the Supernatural magazine, or some of the comic books? Or the Buffy comics?

I've made my first Supernatural vid! You can find it in various forms here - it started out as vaguely cracky, because when you're vidding to The Divinyls' Pleasure and Pain that's the reasonable starting point but it's become a bit less cracky and... Well, spoilers are in it through 3.05 (Bedtime Stories) so watch last night's ep before you watch the vid, please.

And finally - how am I supposed to decide between seeing David Tennant & Patrick Stewart in Hamlet in the UK and Dan Radcliffe in Equus in NYC, in the same month?!?

Maybe I'll have to see both!

Coming tomorrow, a Call for Addresses so I can send you a holiday card! I would post today but with NaBloPoMo, I need to make sure I have something to post about tomorrow. :D

You just made me collapse into a twitching, squeeing pile of fangirl. Hadn't a clue about either the music video OR the Stewart-Tenant-Hamlet-awesomeness. I share the Air Supply love, AND the John Barrowman love and very nearly squealed out loud in a very quiet, very public place. And am already inappropriately in love with both Hamlet-the-character AND David Tenant... combine them add Patrick Stewart to the mix, and my poor little fangirl heart can't even take it.

Anyway, I know, useless squealings, but I just... I HAD to, because you hit all my fangirl buttons at once, and... *sheepish face* Yeah, my day's the better for these revelations, thank you!

I'll get you the CD, no problem.

It's about £9 over here!

Send me the DH US paperback when it comes out.

And I'm gonna have to see both - Hamlet already booked, and I can't not see Equus.

God, yes. I wish like hell I could justify a plane-ticket across the pond (maybe I can convince the parents, who actually HAVE money, that it would make a fabulous family vacation).

Also, that icon? Is made of love.

I haven't stopped bouncing ever since I discovered we'd got tickets for the Hamlet. Seriously. And Equus was awesome and amazing and if I could justify seeing it twice I would *g* really theatre is spoiling us at the moment!

I'd definitely pick Hamlet if it were me.

And since you're on a video-making kick and I don't know how yet, I've been thinking about how amusing it would be to make a Sylar and Heroes video to Jonathan Coulton's Re: Your Brains.

I was going to offer to get you the album you're after, but I see you're sorted.

I managed to get tickets to Hamlet for November next year, which is very exciting :)

It's so bizarre to book for a play a year in advance! But tickets really are going fast. I checked every Saturday for 4 seats together, and there was only one possibility! Booking fewer seats, or not on a weekend, and you'd have better luck I think.

And I still have to work out whether I can see Crowded House when they play in the UK...

So pretty and angsty and really capable of wearing greatcoats in a way that Harkness would envy. Huzzah for Barty Jr!

Back in 1990, I spent 4+ weeks "studying" theater in London. We saw 5 shows per week as a class, and I saw Blood Brothers (twice), Miss Saigon, Les Miz & Phantom separate from that.

I need a month of London theater again. Starting with Hairspray.
