Actually, I'm not sure he's young enough to have gotten a lot of Disney as a toddler (he was born in 1979).
But back then, movie theaters would show Disney films on Saturdays and during Summer Vacation and you would just see them in theaters. I remember seeing Bambi in a theater in 1976 or 77, and Cinderella in 1980. I think they probably continued with rereleases like that into the mid-80s, IIRC....
