I think in the nearly five years that I've been on LJ, only two people on my flist have any memory of Hue & Cry, which is weird, because, well, a lot of you were alive in 1987 and listening to British radio.
I got their River Sessions, recorded in Glasgow in 1987, a few weeks ago, and just uploaded their cover of Squeeze's Tempted as a cheer-up gift for someone. If you want to give it a listen,
click here - and if you do listen, let me know what you think? This cover isn't all that similar to their original stuff, which tends to more jazz, but the piano in it is interesting and the changes to the tempo of the song, I think, work on the second listen - they're just surprising on the first hearing, though.
