Nov. 11th, 2005 07:29 pmWhoever sent me an AIM in the last two hours, I didn't get it because when I picked up my Sidekick about 20 min ago after not looking at it for a while as we were at dinner, I saw that I was in Upgrade Mode, and thus could not retrieve said AIM.
But, yay upgrade! Java! On my sidekick! Browsing LJ with images on! Possibly being able to post to TLC from said sidekick again but with no plans to test that until the craziness of GoF Week is over! Is all squeeful.
Less squeeful is the fact that the NYC GoF IMAX is sold out, as is the 540 pm show so we couldn't take over that one too. I will try my hardest to generate fandom-only ticket-sale thingies for saturday afternoon shows for OotP whenever in 2007 it comes out; at least if it sells out that way you know some fandomer has your ticket, not some random muggle off the street who's gone in expecting green elves.
In other news, my laptop is in the shop - yay for bestbuy warranty - and my dvds of charlie & the chocolate factory and hitch-hiker's guide arrived, so it's a movie catch-up weekend for me.
Which I guess is sensible, given that I could/should be in NYC. Yes, FA did get red carpet passes, and Vlamidala & Darcey will be there tomorrow; I was going to fly up at 6am tomorrow but I just can't handle leaving Catie again - TWH was almost physically painful and I don't think I'll be able to spend a full 24 hours away from her again at least until next year. Plus, she just learned how to wave, and I don't want one of her first bye-bye's to be to me.
