Happy thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates today! We're off to my parents' club for dinner - at three! - which is insanely early for us. And in going to go to sleep immediately after because it's 430 and I'm awake because this is the first time Jon's slept well in two weeks and I think I'm now used to under eight hours - the fact that I had six already seems to be enough for me, sigh.
I'm not sure what I'm going to eat at dinner, because I can't have turkey - it's my perpetual food aversion while pregnant. But at least I'm suffering fewer than with Harry - then, nothing fowl was viable, but now, I can at least eat eggs and chicken.
Speaking of pregnancies, I can now announce...
My sister is pregnant!
They'd been trying for about 18 months and it *finally* happened after she had a test that found one of her fallopian tubes was blocked - supposedly, the test sometimes opens the tube but they're not sure if that was the trigger this time or what - but she *is* and she's at 12+ weeks so I can tell yay. This, and my Ickle, are my big "I'm thankful!" things this year.
Her due date? Jon's birthday. So yeah, that's 5-6 weeks after me. If all goes well, I - with kids - will be in LA for 2-3 weeks in July - *no disney* but hopefully we'll get to see Locals.
Of course, thinking of traveling reminds me of where me & family *should* be this weekend - just outside Denver with Aaron's family, at one of his uncle's. But while I'm allowed to fly, it was strongly suggested that I not go to a city at altitude, as I haven't been to one in about seven years, and it would probably make me sick and not be good for Ickle. So, we're home.
And it's sunny and we'll go to the pool in a few hours. Anyone need any sand?
