Good: I love Saturday mornings with weight watchers. For some reason, I always wake up a pound lighter, at least. 1.4 pounds, today. I'm now down 18 since Christmas and in 3, I get to use my spa day gift cert from my birthday.

Less Good: we have to drive up to palm beach to spend the day with aaron's grandma. Yeah, that one. Le sigh.

Good: jon slept really well last night

Less Good: I also slept really well last night, which translates into 'I think I've read about 60 lj postings since Wednesday and I really need to catch up because, at a glance, I am at more than skip=400. Le sigh.

Good: the boys are going to the park for an hour this morning, and as the kitchen is clean, I can catch up.

Less good: my ficlets for the *Three Things That Never Happened To...* Feb 29 Challenge on FA won't go below 260 words each. Is it so wrong to change the guidelines so the 200 word thingy is a suggestion and not a requirement?

Good: in an hour and a half, I'm going to open the forum and finally have time to give artnifflers their posting powers. We have so m,any forums on aa, it slows everthing administrative down!

FA's February 29 Challenge (Three Things That Never Happened To...) is now open for posting, and will be open for new fic submissions until 11am GMT on March 1 (as that's the end of February 29 anywhere in the world).

Just a reminder about the challenge itself:
Write three ficlets about a total of three events and/or three moments that never happened to a character but, had they happened, would have changed their life forever.

Each ficlet should be no more than 200 words, which is a double-drabble, but it can be shorter (and yes, it can be slightly longer, although under 350 words is strongly recommended. You can write about any character you choose, but all three ficlets must be about the same character.

At least one of the ficlets must take place on February 29, and for the purpose of this challenge, in the wizarding world, the day of February 29 must mean something special to the wizarding world - perhaps it's a day where everything is the opposite from what it normally is, or it's a day where places that are normally unplottable (think Atlantis or Brigadoon) are suddenly accessable, or perhaps it's the one day when centaurs help witches and wizards - be creative!

ETA: Because of a technical glitch on our end, we're leaving the challenge open for posting until 04.03.04 (March 4, 2004) because, well, it's a neat date.
