I LOFF ALFONSO CUARON!

And Liss for calling our attention to the picture.

And B for posting it early this morning - she wakes up early to share wonders with the fandom! All cheer!

Rant question for August, 2003 in Jane Magazine:

Are online juornals a valid form of interpersonal communication or an exercise in needy self-absorbtion?

The "Who Would Be In Your League?" meme that I've gacked from many was enjoyed by my entire family over dinner last night.

Here's Aaron's:
Rick (Casablanca Rick)
Lord & Lady Greystoke
The Phantom (not an actual superhero, guys)
Richard Burton, the explorer
Their goal is to retrieve a stolen, supersekrit plane from Nazis at a base camp in Africa, and they will ride winged horses, but not thestrals.

Here's Harry's (he has 2 teams - one of good guys and one of bad guys)
Peter Pan, who carries Nemo & Marlin of Finding Nemo around in a fishbowl, like Stanley in the Playhouse Disney show
Harry Potter
Eliza Thornberry (of the Wild Thornberrys)
They ride on a giant orca named Balita (which is what he calls the whale named Lolita at our local seaquarium) and they all have swords

And the team of bad guys:
Tom Riddle (whose name Harry can read on the action figure box)
Captain Hook
Cruella deVil
The Falcon from Stuart Little II, who freaks Harry out to no end
They ride giant wizarding chess knight-horse pieces

My team:
Mr & Mrs Fitzwilliam Darcy
Josephine March-Lawrence & Laurie Lawrence (hey, it's MY blasted universe!)
Simon Branford, accompanied by Ms Thursday Next (only one of them is fictional)
Ben Franklin, who just picks up women wherever they go
They were organized by Daniel (the current Sandman, again, not a superhero) and they ride thestrals

Jon did not create a team, as his would probably now be limited to the happy-face teether and the pull-down blue elephant, and while they'd be very brave in battle, they wouldn't last long, now, would they?
