Okay, so, earlier today, I posted my wishlist with a wish for a release date and/or title for Book Seven of HP. And I included that because my longtime wish? Well, I'd basically given up on it.

What was that wish, you ask...

For a movie of or sequel to The Eight.

But three minutes ago, laughingirl YMed me to say:

Katherine Neville's sequel to her debut novel, The Eight, ranging from the
dawn of the war of Greek Independence in 1822 to the outbreak of the Iraq
War in 2003, this novel begins when the heroine of The Eight mysteriously
vanishes, and her daughter must follow a set of cryptic clues on a

Seriously? That's almost better than a release date and/or title for Book Seven, because we *know* book seven will eventually come out, and I had completely stopped dreaming and hoping that a sequel to The Eight would ever *ever* happen.

How funny! I was thinking about The Eight just the other night, how you originally turned me on to it way back in the day and how I really needed to buy a copy to re-read it. Guess I better get on that! :)

Then I pondered the fact that it's a sequel, and so might be called The Nine.

I was just thinking the other day that it's been enough time since The Magic Circle for her to have written another book. That it's a sequel to The Eight is even better.

OMG! This is WONDERFUL news! I loved that book when I read it . . . AGES ago. (It had to be more than 10 years ago that I read it). I hardly even remember the plot; I just remember that it was fantastic. So, this will be fun! I'll have an excuse to re-read it, and it will almost be like reading it again for the first time . . . and then, SEQUEL! W00t!
