Good Draco gen is the goods. I read a fabulous one last year pre-OotP which was just so great I thought I might die of heart failure: not least because the author remembered that there was a character called Justin Finch-Fletchley in the novels.
I dunno. Good Draco gen can make you like the little bugger without forgetting what he stands for. Good Draco gen reminds you that in canon he has a chance of redemption and he is clever and he does have people he cares for, and most importantly that he's young and from a terrible, horrible family where he never stood a chance when younger. It's so tough to see them all encased within a lot of genfic, though: admittedly, this probably does reflect on the circles that I read in.
