Yay, sidekick is working again. Not so happythrilled with the blackberry I'm testing. I'll decide by next weekend if I'm going to keep it. Right now, the web browser I had to download and pay for separately isn't working - it seems I'm not supposed to push the ESC key while I'm using it. But of course, the ESC key is used for so many other things, it's almost second nature for me to push it. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do. If only sidekick email was downloadable. Le sigh.

I've added an RSS feed LJ, [livejournal.com profile] heidi_rss, with all the feeds I subscribe to, so I can read them separate from my regular flist. If you want to gack, or utilize it, feel free. I'm not friending anyone back from it- it's an RSS-only LJ.

The extremely cute stroller that I've been drooling over won't be available until late June, so that's off the list of possibilities. I'm now looking at a peg perego aria and a Zooper Twin (I think it's called the Twist). Anyone ever use either? I've decied against any stroller with three wheels in back, as I ended up kicking the middle wheel constantly while testing it out in the store. So, no.

Now, for some nontechnology.

My first rabbi died yesterday - Irving Lerman, who was the Rabbi of Temple Emanuel here in Miami Beach, where I was named, where I went to school for four years, where I first learned Hebrew. He was a driving force in the community here, and his son sold my parents their current house when I was seven, so I sort of knew him in the temple and out of it. He was 94.

Two people on my flist are losing their beloved puppy dogs this weekend. Hugs and pats go out to both of you. It's so hard, and it's so saddening, when you lose a four-legged family members. Love to you.

I'm off for the afternoon - we have multiple birthday parties today and multiple things tomorrow. No rest!

I had Peg Perego strollers and while it's very lightweight, the basket was sinful inadequate, especially in the double. It manuevered all right, though. McClaren strollers are nice too, I've found. (I think it's McClaren . . . )

I'm sorry about your rabbi. We lost 2 people from our UU congregation in the past 4 days. I'll be attending a memorial service for one of them tomorrow afternoon. And the people losing pets have my condolences too. Overall it's been kind of a crappy week. Have fun this weekend.

Have not used either, but you might like the Maclaren Twin Traveller. The basket isn't that big though.

You might also want to check out the Strollerqueen's website, where she reviews the stroller lineups for 2005. :D

I can't speak to the Twin, but we have the Zooper Waltz, and I loff it very much. It drives beautifully, which would, I would hope, carry over to the Twin as well. Baskets seem to be an issue no matter what stroller you're looking at. The Waltz basket is a good size, but access to it is a bit impeded by one of the support bars. Still, I'd buy this one all over again if for the huge sunshade alone.
