Dear Ms Rowling:
Your maths still suck, but in many other ways, you are a wonderful and sensible person.

Also, yay, Lexicon Steve!

heheh. Interesting.

I also can't help but notice that she's still talking about Sirius in the present tense....

Yes, it is possible for the great Jo Rowling to make a mistake. Not that the Charlie issue is central to the books. Come on people! I'd much rather know other things, but that would spoil the surprise(s) to come.

I love reading a new HP book (or fanfic for that matter) when a bit of tantalizing information is revealed. It gives me such an adrenaline rush and I have to read it like 10 times to digest it. Someone help me plz!!! I can't wait for HBP. I'm emotionally invested in this damn series. Is there a Harry Potter Anonymous group I can join to purge this unhealthy obsession? Has anyone written a 'twelve step' program?

:O

When discussing literature, one should always use the present tense, no?

Just when I think I can't love her anymore, she proves me wrong. I know, logically, that she appreciates her fans, as, without us, HP wouldn't be the phenomenon that it is...

But the fact that she takes the time to update her site (with a very personal flavor, no?) and reach out to her most loyal fans like this just makes my heart warm. Like acknowledging and answering Steve's questions? WONDERFUL. <3

Hey Heidi,

I have a question for you. I tried sending it to your email, but I don't know if it ever made it. What became of that fic you co-wrote with someone that involved Harry, Ginny, horse, and groomer Draco? I remember (I sincerely hope it was you) getting excited because you wanted to submitted it to Sugar Quill? Am I on drugs and have totally lost my mind?

I loved her answer on the question regarding Sirius. But this:

Sirius is very good at spouting bits of excellent personal philosophy, but he does not always live up to them.

I wonder if she thinks her books are guilty of the same thing, insert Slytherin/Snape argument here.

Man, I knew I should have slipped Steve a tenner so he'd ask if their love was, in fact, so canon. ;-)

Hey Suzanne! We missed their submission window a few times, and as it's not ootp-compliant, and never could be, we're not going to put it there. I have to check with Cassie to see where it is - I am sure it's somewhere...
