I'm fairly new to FA, but was wondering if there was a place where I could volunteer to code? I've been looking around, but ... *wow* You mods are AMAZING!!

Are these numbers per person or the intake team as a whole?

Signing off, V.M. Bell

Eek, add-on to comment that I forgot: I've been thinking of applying to the intake team, so I just wanted a clearer picture of what kind of commitment it involved, especially with school just around the corner. Thanks!

I don't know if this does any good, but we all appreciate FA so much! It is by far the most easy to use and well organized ff site and all of us love it a great deal.

That's definitely for the team as a whole. No one person codes for 62 hours a week!

Most of us are in the 8-12 hrs/wk range, I think. The minimum commitment asked is 5 hrs/wk. Depending on your schedule, that can be polished off in a couple of afternoons or evenings per week....

I wish I could make a 'hurray forthe coders' banner becasue man this soundsl isk six toten full-time jobs rolled into one package.
And I do appreciate the facthat with all Fa related thigns there is a easonably slective policy to keep a reasonably good story quality for everyone's tastes.

Yep, the instructions on how to find the quiz is in the FAQ. Basically, the quiz is here - It will test your ability to find errors as you read fanfiction. Will you recognise the correct spelling of character names? Are you aware of the way dialogue punctuation should be written? If you see something that doesn't look quite right, do you know how to verify a source for accuracy? These pieces have been intentionally "doctored" to trip up a reader with errors, with puzzles that may be errors - or may not be. There may be a variety of "right" answers or "correct" alterations for each question or example, as there are a number of creative portrayals of fiction. So read through the quiz, and if you still want to join FA's Fic Intake Team, follow the instructions on the page and send in your application!
