We want to put together a list of "new canon information" for LumosDissendium.org, so people have it all in one easily accessable & researchable place.

Can those of you who've found out nifty things on JKR's new site (and I don't mean things that she discarded like the original bit about the Sorcerer's Stone) post them here, or direct me to your LJs if you've posted them there?

There will be a credit list on the bottom of everyone who's contributed, but without specifically stating which person submitted which bit.

Thanks in advance!

ETA: Obviously, there are spoilers in the comments. RAYOR.

ETA #2: The LExicon will be mirroring Lumos's collection - we're saving Steve a little elbow grease ;)

Well, you have info about the Weasley's and Molly's background here. And she gives Dean Thomas' background info here. Both of those (especially Dean's, imo) are very interesting. She also mentions somewhere in the site that Sirius has grey eyes (*loves*) but I don't have that direct link. :)

Here's the link to the quote concerning Theodore Nott's background.
-raised by his widower father, who's a Death Eater (the same Not that appears in OotP)
-pureblood
-a clever loner

If you go to the extras board and rub over the blank piece of paper with the rubber, then a plan comes up.
You get the leaves from the extras board, the potion from the links bookshelf, the spider from JKR's desk and the feather from the Fan Site's cabinet.
God knows what you do with them after that. Still working on it.

On the links page, if you click on the book with the ? on it on the links page, you will find a key behind it, if you then drag the key to the lockable box next to the bookshelf, the box will open and give you a present.

If you go to the Fan Site's page and move the medallions with the ? on them into their boxes, they will give you a present.

Um. Not sure about anything else. There's still an empty medallion box at the top of the Fansite's page, but no extra medallion on that page to fill it. Don't know what to do with the phone either. Hmmm. *is curious* I hope some other people find some other stuff.

My God. You're brilliant! I clicked all over Salazar's green earth and found none of this...am clearly limited when it comes to finding out the special things. Thanks ever so for sharing!

There was this thing that I did that made the hands of the watch spin madly and tip the cup with the pen over...I'll get back to you as to how it's done. But the watch is definitely something ^_^

I found the "different plot line" idea page. It's in long hand and very hard to read, but as I type this, I'm "translating" it as it were, should anyone be interested.

Tis ok. Evidently I got the wrong end of the stick. I thought that you had to find a cauldron. I was finding this difficult.
However, I did get the present which just appeared when you click on the last one. :D

The only thing I saw tipping the cup with the pens over, was if you left the desk alone for an extended amount of time - a breeze (or Peeves) would knock it over.

If the main page is left alone for a while the phone will ring. Answer it by clicking on the phone button and a voice says "hello? is anyone there?" etc. for a few seconds. Sounds like J.K.'s voice (?).
