heidi1. Thanks to everyone for their sweet (and often sparkly) birthday wishes! They've really made my day!
2. Ickle iPod did arrive this morning, around 1030 am, and after it spent some time charging, it was indoctrinated with the 600 or so songs I have on my laptop, and it is now ready to go. I loff it very much.
2a. The engraving on the back says:

That way, presumably, it could be returned if it ever went missing.

alexmalfoy helped me select a name. I was choosing between Ickle Snoo and The Rum, because the former is really cute&small& sweet and the iPod itself is also cute&small&sweet, and the latter would allow me to say, if ever I couldn't find it, "But where has The Rum gone?"
The name selected was The Rum. I may change it some day down the road, perhaps to Pinky, after Pinky Tuscadero of Happy Days, which marked its 30th anniversary today, but not until the pink skin arrives this weekend.
It is an all around wonderful gift and I can't wait to take it to the gym tomorrow. Squee!
I'm too overtired to think about anything else tonight, really - I've been up since 430 because I'd promised my mum a 515 wake-up call, as she flew to California this morning, and I am completely exhausted.
So goodnight, all, and again, thanks for making my birthday fun, even though we didn't get any lovely new info about Book 6 or even PoA.
