I haven't taken a single quiz in a few weeks, so of course, while sitting on hold with t-mobile today, I thought I should learn what

Which Evil Villain Bad Habit are you?
choleric
You are Choleric. Confident, strong willed, and
self-sufficient, you make a strong leader and
delegator. You are the type of person that gets
things done, and motivates others to do the
same. Though generally optimistic, you can be
driven by anger or revenge, and are at times
referred to as both unemotional or cruel.
Cholerics make excellent teachers, athletes,
and military professionals.

Which of the Humours are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

In other news, other than getting something for my grandmothers, I think I'm done with my holiday shopping. And I am, again, stuck on what to get the 82 and 87 year old women who have everything. So it'll likely be another selection of coffees for Claire and another book on tape for Reba.

Aaron and I never get each other especially amazing Hanukah presents - we get great things for each other for our birthdays, but never in December, sort of by mutual decision. We don't really set a budget but it's a weird year when we spend more than 40$ or so - this year, I got him the west wing dvd's and XMen, so I actually think I hit the $60 mark, and he got me LOTR & PoTC - but we've already exchanged the gifts so there won't be any gifting between us on the 19th anyway. Is it just us? Is it because we have our anniversary, then Hanukah, then my birthday, then Valentine's Day, then his birthday, all 6 weeks from each other?

What do other spouses do? Is this your big gift exchange of the year, or is there another event or set of events you celebrate more grandiously?

And lastly, a question:

Is it wrong for me to have purchased the new Peter Pan movie picture-storybook for Harry just so I could get my hands on all the Jason Isaacs photos?

Around here, Christmas is for the kid. My husband already opened his present (the LOTR DVDs) and I already opened mine (the West Wing DVDs.) We're done. We also have our anniversary, my birthday, the holidays, his birthday and the kid's birthday all between the end of October and the beginning of February so this is the season of giving. Then we have absolutely nothing to do all spring and summer. I should have planned my unplanned child better and had him in July to break up the monotony.

Yes. It's wrong.Very wrong. No one should buy presents for the soul purpose of stealing them back.
Now, hang your head in shame and scan all the pictures before you wrap it.

Yes. But it is best if children don't know they are sharing. Speaking as a former child I can tell you that children hate to share. Sharing roughly translates as someone stealing just what you want to use, when you want to use it.

Sure, gack away. I got the idea from here: http://www.ChristmasSantaClaus.com/rudolph-video.asp

Yes it is. Harry might have really wanted that photo and you have deprived him of it. It will traumatise him for life. Evil person!

Not sweet. I am an obnoxious brat.
Am very innocent though. It is probably just as well that you weren't around when I first started trying to write Harry/Hedwig. I would have pestered you to give indepth accounts of your genitalia.

Yeah, try writing a wing-job from an Owl's point of view.
Anyway, I can't imagine block doing anything other than blushing. The few times anything below the waist have come up in conversation he has refered to it as his "nether-regions".

Well, my fiance's birthday is December 20th, so he usually gets something pretty big between that and Christmas, but it's split between the two - I don't give him huge gifts for each or either. This year it's just a pair of hockey tickets, Two Towers on DVD, and boxers for his birthday, and an expensive video game he wants for Christmas. We never really make a big deal out of my birthday in May, either, but he usually gets me something really nice for Christmas (this year, a laptop, to my utter astonishment).

I hear you, Heidi. I dunno . . . dh and I never give each other major things for Christmas; we just get things as the budget allows throughout the year. We have dh's b-day on 11-5, my mother's b-day on 11-19, Christmas, and then our anniversary on 12-29 . . . not to mention Valentine's day. I just focus on the kids, really.

There's a picture book for Neverland? Are there any good Kate Maberly pics in there? (Kate's playing Wendy Darling, I believe).

Dave and I have a rather bad habit of buying *ourselves* things we want throughout the year, so when the holidays role around, there really isn't much left. Our solution is to go in on a gift "together" so to speak. This year our gift to each other is a trip to NYC in April, to go see Lane and Broderick reprise their roles in "The Producers". Last year, we built our home theater, which admittedly is a rather expensive gift, but something that we'll both enjoy. It's the time spent together that's more important.

Hey Heidi! Don't know if I've ever commented on your lj before, mostly just lurk here. But I'm glad to see that my dh and I aren't the only ones who don't *do* the individual gift thing either. In the past, we usually have purchased big $$ gifts for the family, like a new stereo, or dvd player, etc, instead of one individual gifts that neither of us will use or needs. Although, #1 son does remind me of the year I wrapped up a package of fruit of the looms, and stuck it under the tree. :P
As for the PP pic-story book, ah, I belive it's your duty as a good parent to examine this product for its content and quality. >*squee*< So, uh, yeah, it's ok. Enjoy!!

Christmas isn't a huge gift exchange for us either. The past two years, my husband and I didn't give each other presents at all, but instead used the money for somehting for both of us. Last year it was going on a vacation with my family. This year I think we're buying something for the flat.

We're poor students, so that's one way to save money.
