Well, I guess that's semibad for trioshippers, but if you want to accept the H/Hr logic (which I think is vaguely sensible), David is only speaking specifically about the PoA timeframe, and not anything that could be happening in future books, as he doesn't know the whole plot of 6 and 7 himself.
