Things About My Week
Sep. 5th, 2003 12:29 pm1. I am old.
2. Harry is back in school. He can read his name upside down, which is a cool new trick, and enjoying the computer in their classroom.
3. On the way to school yesterday, I played the original cast recording from Sunday in the Park With George and as soon as Bernadette said, "Louis it is!" Harry said, "Play the Louis song again!"
He loves this song. He's learning the words, but I think he just enjoys her singing and the rhythem more than the actual lyrics, which I think he understands in general but not completely. It's so neat to watch this appreciation - he's always loved listening to my soundtracks, and we do a neat job on Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better, which I used to sing with *my* dad - but this whole Introduction to Sondheim for Four Year Olds is a little unexpected. Grand, but unexpected.
4. I like the new style here on LJ (tis the season for site redos, and that's all I'm going to say about that now ;) but I can't use it on my Sidekick, so I've switched back to the regular. I wish there was a happy medium...
5. Jon now weighs 17+ pounds. As I understand it, this means he's off the charts. Meep. We're off to buy him a new carseat this weekend, as his legs are too long for the infant seat. So much for that incredibly expensive purchase - soooo bloody long lasting. Ah well. It was safe, and it made sense when I bought it as he should've been able to be in it for 6+ months or so. Will donate to charity on Tuesday.
