the saga of the car
Jul. 23rd, 2003 05:41 amI live about 3.5 hours from Orlando. I am also usually the one who drives there and back when we go, as Aaron likes to doze in the car, and I sorta can't.
Sunday afternoon, we decided to stay one more night as the boys wanted to back to animal kingdom and I didn't want to start the drive back at 6pm.
On monday morning, we got up at 430, loaded the car and were on the road by 530.
15 minutes out I remembered that i'd left all the cash from the fa bday in the safe. So we went back and got it and we were doing ok on time.
So we drove and drove and got back to miami beach around 930. Yay.
We go over to our house, where we're not staying this week as we're staying at our parents' because our bathroom is being fixed because the shower pan broke, so Aaron can get his car.
But, alas, his car is not at the house...
because we forgot to pick it up an hour before at the ft lauderdale airport!
Sigh.
So he goes to work, I unpack, and I go pick him up around 330 and we drive back to lauderdale. In rush hour traffic.
We get there around 440 and...
Aaron cannot find his keys. He swears he had them while waiting for me at the office but they are unfindable.
We looked thru the car for over a half hour, then drive home, returning around 6ish. Still, no keys.
We drove back up the next morning with the spare set and get the car but...
All in all, I spent 3.5 hours driving back from orlando *and* 3.5 hours dealing with the car.
And this is why I am still not caught up, and still tired.
