heidiFirst of all, thanks so much to everyone who participated in the organization and running of the event - I don't have enough words of praise for all of you, but I do have special shout-outs for a number of people who went beyond the call of duty to help with and/or work with me on various things:

praetorianguard did amazing things, stepping into the registration-queen role at the last minute. I wish I could've given you a tiara and a time turner. You were great to co-present with as well, and I'm sorry we didn't get to the corporate issues. We need to find a legal conference and present this way again - but for half a day this time!aegeus, who was pretty much my Boy Friday for the course of the event, and who I think I still owe a Nimbus Elf badge toajhalluk, who I didn't get to spend half the time with that I would've liked - I have a feeling that after I finish reading your paper, I'll be buzzing you with phone calls again - did you manage to meet rivkat, btw? I wanted to introduce the two of you, but I couldn't find rivkat later on Friday when I was looking for her. Wibble. And speaking of rivkat, you MADE our presentation. Everyone in fandom should be required to make it through your lecture before creating anything. Can I call to pick your brain on a quick and tiny issue, btw?Gail and the rest of the FILKers - I wish I'd made it to at least ONE of the FILK events - it was wonderful meeting so many of you - but Gail and I seem to have missed a chance to talk by a few moments at various times. I will write a filk about ships passing in the night, or day, as the case may be, and post it in your honour on OTC, Gail.
ari_o - Take me, I'm yours. Especially if the goddess known as debellatrix is on for the ride. And speaking of
debellatrix, someday, we will look back on those moments in time, and laugh. And hope that they partook of the vomit-flavoured ones first. Everybody loved you - and no surprise there!melissa_tlc - I adore you as much as I've suspected for the past year that I would. We need to have an all-TLC thing at some point, in NYC or DC, because I need to meet Kristin and Megan and BK and Jojo and it would be wonderful. It was terrific to hang out with you this weekend, and to be honest, I think it will make us even better coworkers going forward. That's the amazing thing about an event like this - it just smashes any divisions when you can just share a secret or a nod or a concept with someone at a random moment. To the ladies of 557 & 558 - you are all loffed and wonderful and it was great to spend time with all of you. And
jlh, I'm still thinking about Finn songs.hermorrine - I went up there with my BROS and CKTC cds and I came home with them too! I could never find you when I was carrying them. Wibble. To those of you in costume who were "so busted" by my son Harrison - he says I should make sure everyone knows that being busted is a good thing. I think.
Ah well, he is not even four yet.
I know I forgot a tonne of people and things that were all amazing about Nimbus - and I wish I could've spent more time with every single one of you, but Jon did take a bit of my time, and organizational obligations took still more.

The amazing art that all the artists were doing on people's nametags - thanks for asking what people wanted and creating minimasterpieces every few minutes!
Everyone at the FA party on Friday - from the moment the SQers entered with their sweet (pun intended!) card to the moment I left about 10 minutes after the cake, when the detritus from the pinatas was still strewn across the dance floor - and, btw, since more people attended than we'd anticipated, the money that we didn't need for the food & cups & decor & AV will cover a little over a month's worth of server hosting. W00t!
Mary Potter of MissMaryPotter.com - I will be getting in touch with you about cards later this week!
Watching the movie in a theater of fans - which led to a number of conversations about how great it would be to have a mass viewing of PoA in June - NY? London? LA? Perhaps organized things in multiple travel-to locations? Hmmmm.......

Art! I forgot art! Thanks so much to Mags and Alicey - I have to head off to the framer's tomorrow to have the originals of the coverart from FA and from the FA birthday party cups framed properly - you're all amazing and Mags, I cannot believe you gave me your Cedric. He is beautiful and you are a goddess.
I'm collecting all the reports all of you have made and will be adding them into the MEMORIES here on LJ so we can have them for posterity -a nd to help anyone planning anything like this in the future. It's an incredible resource for any planner to have!
And anyone who friended me because of Nimbus - 2003, please post a comment so I can add you to my friends list.
I'm off to retire my Nimbus avatar - likely later today - and I can't wait to see all of you again!
