Does anyone have an I wish for peace + I support the troops button? 'Cause I want to say both...

Very true - but try getting pro-war people to understand you can be both at the same time. I have just had an incredible argument with someone over this. *sigh*

I was thinking of making one that said "I support the troops, not Bush". As with your idea, it's hard to get people to see that they are separate concepts.

ps - see my LJ: We could hear from China in the next few weeks. Eeek! *g*

In the risk of having people hate me, I would like to say that I am pro-war, and I understand perfectly what Heidi means.

Possibly this has something to do with the intelligence level of some pro-war people?

And I am pro-war; and I am pro-Bush; and I also see what Heidi says. I did my best to articulate it in my own LJ, which has garnered no responses.

Innocents will die no matter what unfolds; innocents have been dying over there for years, unfairly, pointlessly, endlessly. We cannot prevent innocent death; but we can choose to allow it and do nothing, or we can choose to risk causing deaths to remove a man who kills horribly, frequently, whimsically.

Do not believe that those who wage war do so joyously, or without grief.
