The city of Aix-en-Provence has joined forces with its sister city, Coral Gables, Fla., to sign a solemn "proclamation" of solidarity.
"We affirm, at this crucial moment in history, our valued and time-honored alliance, recognizing that one of Earth's greatest measures is the inherent decency of mankind which transcends political conflicts between nations," says the statement, printed in English and French on a home computer and carrying the seals of both cities.
