I noticed that was going to happen soon when I was boarding the other day. (Saw the member id's in the 19,000s.) Actually thought of suggesting some sort of prize to the 20K'th person, then forgot. And we're up to nearly 20K RTs between Sch and FA combined, too.

In fact, I had a good laugh with Cassie last night when I was coding DD 09 for reload, and noticed her threadid was 344. Meanwhile, my memberid is 5. I know those things are more representative of ditching ezboard than the full life of FA, but still. Man....

1) Because you're damn good at what you do. :-)

2) Will probably continue increasing at about the same rate. The second derivative with respect to time will probably increase slightly, but I wouldn't expect to multiply by another factor of 10 over the coming year. :-)

20,000 members - a most impressive achievement! But post OotP is scarey - the mind boggles on the numbers then! I worry a little about burnout of the many willing helpers - will need to keep recruiting more. As for you taking a so-called break Heidi, I can see you now in the delivery room, Blackberry in one hand, mobile phone in the other.... *g* But please do take a break, and look after yourself. If anything, I would think of you as the Queen Bee, but a terribly hard-working queen at that. *hugs*

If it makes you feel any better, a lot of the 20,000 members don't post. A bunch just sign up and never come and a bunch use to post and have stopped. Of course, you might want to think that you have 20,000 active members, in which case ignore me.
