Date: 2003-01-15 07:10 am (UTC)Not too sure how well a near-toddler who has only recently come into our life will hold still to enjoy long HP chapters with only the one small opening illustration to hold their attention. Your little one will still be small enough to be at your mercy, however, I'd wager. ;) I'd consider getting the audio CD at once, but it's *just* not the same. May have to do it that way anyway.... Will definitely consider making Will read aloud.
Happy Birthday, Heidi
I wish you a very happy day. Made even better with Bloomsbury's wonderful announcement.
Over 700 pages...hmmmm...I have two kids who will insist on a marathon reading session (me to them, out loud, for hours, because I can do the British accent thing). Gah!
Me thinks all us mommies should just buy the audio book and call it a wise investment.
Schnoogles to you, my dear. 32, eh? Just wait till you're 42 and trying to keep up with a 10 year old Jumper.

Date: 2003-01-15 07:29 am (UTC)Yes, that was a lovely gift from Bloomsbury. :-)
Meet me at the pub tonight and I'll buy you...er....wait...I guess you can't drink in your state right now, huh? Well, when the little one is delivered and you need to escape one evening, let me know and the first round of butterbeer will be on me.
Have an awesome day.

Date: 2003-01-15 08:33 am (UTC)Well this one bases the countdown on the time and date on the person who is seeing it's computer.
If you are interested you can see it HERE.
Again, Happy Birthday. You've gotten the best B-Day present of all, a release date.

Date: 2003-01-15 11:46 am (UTC)Happy Birthday, of course!
Date: 2003-01-15 11:56 am (UTC)My daughter (Audrey) was born just before Goblet of Fire was released and I remember clearly reading the book and breastfeeding her in the armchair (lmao, tmi?). In fact, Book V is scheduled for release on her actual third birthday -- what better way to celebrate for my equinox baby?
When are you due? And I would be happy to read the book aloud to you. I am a professional story reader, so I should know my stuff! :)
*runs off to post to Aome's LJ because my best friend just adopted a baby from Vietnam and made the trip several months ago*
