It actually does explain a lot!

So that meme that asks you to find the song that was #1 the day you were born?

Mine was George Harrison's My Sweet Lord, which is, in legal circles, famous for being at the center of one of the fundamental cases on unintentional copying and is used as a teaching tool in copyright law classes.

Ah, so much makes perfect sense now.

Off to check with our domain host to see what is up with FictionAlley's DNS stuff....

I still think George got the shaft. What do you think, Ms. Copyright Attorney? :D

I think this case has done more to stifle the recordation/distribution of creative expression by artists - especially rap, hip hop, mashup and those who play with sounds - than pretty much any other case. I wonder what the musical world would've sounded like the last 40 years without its impact.

Considering the number one song when I was born was the Archies' 'Sugar Sugar' I will decline comment.

It must be the same for me then and it explains nothing. OK, I just looked and for the 17th I get Tony, Orlando, and Dawn's Knock Three Times...

"The song is actually a remake with English lyrics of an Italian pop song. In it, the narrator tells his beautiful downstairs neighbor, whom he's never met, but nonetheless is in love with, that she should knock on the ceiling three times, if she wants to meet him, twice on the radiator pipe, if she is not interested."

LOL. Since I am 75% Irish/Scottish and 25% Italian that's pretty funny.

LOL. That's fantastic. Talk about destiny. :)

That's not fair! You're the second person to get a Beatles song. Curse my stars to have been born in the 80s!
