My husband is so cute

"I was really upset about Nathan. I wish they'd killed off Maya instead."

So I asked him if he thought that was a little incongruous given they were both shot and both had access to Healing Blood and he agreed that Nathan's probably not perma-dead. But it's so cute that he had a similar take to the one I've seen all over lj & forums this week, even though he's totally nonparticipatory, and I hadn't spoiled him at all for this.

Also, Lisa Coleman, one of the show's composers, did an interview with Greg Beeman this week, and said, "In every scene, there's massive subtext."

Lisa's a smart woman!

LOL. That IS cute! It also makes the answer glaringly obvious if someone who isn't even participatory sees it.

Have you listened to the audio commentary for the episode? Wendy and Lisa are there with the director. They say something to the effect that Peter and Nathan looked like they were going to kiss and the director says they did kiss, but they cut it. Wendy and Lisa are two smart women indeed!

The flipside of Nathan Lives! is that we will have had two seasons in a row in which Nathan is obviously dead in the finale, but whoops, fortunately Peter miraculously saves him in the subsequent premiere.

It's starting to become a tradition. One speculates that the next season will end with Nathan getting his head cut off, but Peter utilizing his new super-speed power to glue it back on.

I hope Nathan's not dead, but I'm glad they didn't kill Maya. I don't like her particularly (especially since she fell for "Gabriel's" BS), but the girls are outnumbered enough, especially now that Niki appears to be dead.
