FYI: Heroes Squee, from me, is not a spoilery comment. For me, Heroes Squee is spontaneously generated when an episode begins, and continues indefinitely from that point forward. The only thing that will eliminate Heroes Squee will be the lack of an episode on any given Monday night, or the (God forbid!) cancellation of the show.

So noted.



Loved the Mr Muggles subplot. Majorly squicked by Claire's pedicure because omg ew.
Loved Suresh speaking French because that was omg so so hot. So hot. Also liked the little domestic scene and his hand brushing Matt's shoulder as he left to answer the phone.
Wasn't surprised by the Kensei = Hiro issue, which I think a lot of us predicted, but I trust they're going somewhere more interesting and clever with this.
Love Peter utilizing his powers, and as 12_12_12 said, using his nursing training, even if he doesn't know it.
Loved how Suresh saved the Haitian with an injection - it was the perfect counterpart to Five Years On, when Suresh killed the Haitian with an injection.

All in all, a solid episode. Not as omgomgomg as last week, but that's to be expected for the differential between the first ep of a season, and the next few. Good plot, good characterization, good quantity of squee.

So, did Nathan just give up after Peter disappeared and, as far as Nathan knows, exploded and died? I take it he's not in Congress, despite his win, and this is unfortunate because Congress needs someone to rock a Jesus beard in chambers. OTOH, it goes with his characterization, I think, which tends to be more melancholy and in need of direction from others. I hope that Nathan comes into his own because I really like him as a character.

Maybe Angela is secretly Hiro's mother, too.

I know, me too. I never, ever, ever, thought I'd see an episode of a prime time show on a major US network with such a large portion of the dialogue in another language, much less JAPANESE.

The writers are so toying with the slashers with Matt/Mohinder. I can hear them now. "Heheheheh. Everyone wants to know if Matt and Mohinder are doing it. Well, let's bring Mohinder back this week, but Matt will be asleep! Yeah! It's completely plausible and we can keep everyone wondering one more week!"

(My personal wish is they aren't together yet, because Matt did just divorce his wife recently, but that they are both bi and we'll get to see them get together, very "Stealing Harry"-like. I doubt I'll get it, but it would be very cool.)

Claire clipping her toe was so in character, but really not something I needed to see. But Mr. Muggles is definitely the brains of the household.

I actually like the Wonder Twins, too. (Except that more subtitles mean less cross-stitch time.) If nothing else, the guy is awfully pretty.

The scenes between Hiro and his princess have been lovely.

I, too, thought Mohinder sounded sexy speaking French. It also pleased me because I understand French. I like the irony of the situation.

Angela's comment about Kaito was pretty funny, though. I mean, I suspected as much, but to have it confirmed was great.
