The thing is, I actually adored his singing long before Doctor Who - I found a comment I made on someone's LJ in late January 2005 about adoring Night & Day & Let's Fall in Love from the DeLovely soundtrack.

But random discoveries of pretty are, er, a lovely side-benefit.
