FictionAlley should be back up soon. Our host's building got hit by lightening - really.

It truly sparked our imaginations!

Maybe when they fix their server, it will 'ignite' those owls into action and they'll deliver private FAP messages at the speed of 'light' instead of how it is now - like there is a 'short circuit' in the owls' mail route. ;-)

(Hope it's all fixed soon. Good luck!) :D

Are they really? Because we haven't had one report of a bug of this sort, ever, and ifyou could email the help desk with an explanation that would be great for us to try and replicate the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. Though I was joking (by using all the play-on-words) just because it seemed fun :p - yes, there really has been a big problem with that for as long as I can recall and I've just accepted that for some reason, when you send an Owl (not e-mail), it just takes forever and a day for it to finally *send* (and I have high-speed). I figured, that's just how it is.

I know an e-mentor who has discussed this problem too (in terms of herself and some others, having problems getting through their assignments for their shift since sending one messages takes so long).

Like I said, I did mean for the post to generally be a "joke"/tease but when I get the chance, I will email the help desk to make it "official". Thanks again for responding.

I am such an idiot. I think I just figured it out. And it should be working much more rapidly now. Let me know how it is for you?

Talk about bad luck....

Are you sure it wasn't a Death Eater attack?

Pretty much - no dark mark...

lightning strikes are a fair excuse. I was wondering what had happened :)
