I voted!

Today is primary day here in Florida, and we also voted for School Board candidates (I support Michael Koznitsky; if you're from Miami Beach and unsure who to vote for, he's a good guy). Yes, I ended up voting for Betty Castor, although I've liked Deutsch in the past, because I think some of his campaigning now is a little unfair, and because I think she a better chance against either McCollum or Martinez. Of course, if McCollum wins, we'll at least know our senator supports stem cell research. I handed out fliers for Koznitsky and will be doing so again this afternoon.

And on the way back to my car afterwards, I caught a little of the filming of Pledge This! - but I didn't get a glimpse of the film's star, Paris Hilton. Um, darn?

A; thank you for reminding me to go get my arse registered. I forgot i wasn't registered in my new home town -_-

B:I just got my term course load finalized (And what a pain that was), and I won't be able to take the mod position. Thank you so much for offering it though. Maybe someday when I get out of college and don't have to stress about. I am interested, but I can't promise 20 minutes every day and I think that'd just be another area of pressure I don't need. (sorry to put this in your LJ, but hotmail is being wonky)

re: A - YAY!

re: B - I totally understand. And I am going to pester you about FA cover art - think you have some time for that in the next two weeks?

Alas! I found myself faced with a bunch of judges about which I knew nothing. :( So I used sort of an EMILY's List strategy of voting. Better than nothing, I hope.

Thing is, I might have to take my precinct in hand (but I don't have the tiiiiime!). There's a distinct lack of signage, about which I've complained before.

Ugh, voting. Floridian too! Betty Castor has some great ideas, but I'm extremely in support of for her protection for military bases and families. Living in a Navy town, this totally drew me toward her. Great vote! Mind if I friend you?
