I'll be at U of M Ann Arbor on October 3rd, so chances are I'll be forced to go to the Dixie Chicks/James Taylor concert. I have some rabid democrat friends going to college with me, so...yeah.
James Taylor does an amazing show - I haven't seen him in a few years, but his concerts are grand. You *will* enjoy it as long as you don't actually wear pro-Bush merchandise. Or, for that matter, Ralph-stuff.
And I'll probably end up booing the Dixie Chicks. They're too liberal and outspoken for me to even remotely enjoy their music anymore. It takes a lot to ruin good bands like that for me.
HOPEFULLY, I'll be able to go to the Philly concert (The Boss & REM on the same bill? Heck, yeah!), but it depends on what the ticket prices turn out to be.
I would give my left arm to attend Dixie/JT. ::sigh:: I know NY is hardly battleground (other than the end of the month ::grumble::) but we'd be more than happy to shell out for this.
I had a Kerry campaign worker ask me where I got my 'Republicans for Voldemort' shirt on Saturday. I'm waiting to see them show up on TV.
Hmmm on 10/5 I could go to see Dave Matthews Band/Jurassic 5(?)/My Morning Jacket in Madison, OR John Mellencamp/Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds(?) in Milwaukee. I'm sure the DMB show will be thronged and I'd maybe rather see Mellencamp, but it's a lot longer drive. Any idea how much these shows cost?? Maybe I could ask Mr. U to get us tickets as our anniversary present (anniversary is 9/20) :)
heh... i wish. 'jurassic 5' and 'dixie chicks' should share a bill and come to sacramento. ooh 'jurassic 5,' 'dixie chicks,' 'maroon 5,' 'black eyed peas,' and 'the roots.'
i would buy tickets and remain homeless for an extra month.
Iowa City! I'm so happy I'll get to see James Taylor -- I've never seen him, and his music makes me ridiculously happy. And the Dixie Chicks are incredible live. Ahhh, the joy of being in a swing state and a college town . . .

We live in a solidly red state. Bruce isn't coming close to us, though we may drive to see Jackson Browne/Bonnie Raitt/Keb Mo in Kansas City.
