:D I got mine in the mail yesterday. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet though. Woe.

I got mine today, too. Thanks!

Unfortunatly I still haven't been able to check it out, as both of my CD drives have decided to die. I can say that I love the art on the CD, though! Also that, for some reason, I thought it was going to be an audio CD of recordings from the conference, heh! Thanks again.

Clueless in Celebration.... What exactly is a 'Nimbus - 2003 CD-ROM'????

[identity profile] sincelastjuly.livejournal.com 2004-07-14 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
me too! :>

Mine too! It looks very cool. My daughter wants to read the papers, too. ::whistles:: Okay, I'm not a huge fan of censorship, as many folks know, but I will probably have to pick and choose which ones would not be inappropriate for an almost-ten-year-old, even an extremely precocious one...

I got mine -- it looks great! Excellent job.

And I found myself in some of the Quidditch pics! I can't even tell you how cool that was! =)

Got mine! I only got to read one essay while I was at work, but it was very user friendly. I'm really looking forward to spending some time poring over all the papers and just generally geeking out.

Good job! <3

My mailman just now handed me mine! Wheee!

Just got mine earlier today (as in July 16th not technically today the 17th!) I haven't loaded it up yet, but it's here!

It's a good way to spend the anniversasry weekend, IMHO.

Nimbus CDRoms? That sounds so cool! Do all attendees get them, or were we supposed to order them at some point? I don't recall seeing anything about it in the past...

[identity profile] heidi8.livejournal.com 2004-07-17 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
You should've gotten an email, yeah. Go through my lj from this past week (am on handheld - I can't c&p) and you'll see what to do...

hi! i got my nimbus 2003 cd rom in the mail a couple of days ago.. thank you so much! i did nimbus last year for my birthday and so getting the cd was like an unexpected bday present!

one question: i was wondering where you got the nifty little cd mailer envelopes? :) cheers!

[identity profile] heidi8.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
The company who did the cdrom silkscreening made them for us. Nifty, aren't they?

[identity profile] enkeli.livejournal.com 2004-07-21 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
very nifty, yes! but also sad, because i was hoping to pick up some plain ones for this thing i wanted to do... hmm.

I got mine, as did my mum and brother.

Which leads me to a suggestion for future HPEF events… we received three CDs, but we only needed one. Perhaps some options for how you'd like to receive the papers. As many different formats as you guys want to have, but with an option for none.
We figured it'd be more cost-effective, but I don't know how these things work.
