I hate hostrocket

Host Rocket was our original website host for FictionAlley. Some of you may remember that last year, they had a server accident which brought the whole site down for a few days - about 2 weeks after we launched. We then moved everything off their servers and over to SectorLink, who we loved, but it was difficult to remove the domain names from their control.

In April, with some help from Register.com, we managed to move all of them over to Register.com, except for Riddikulus, which, for some reason, they wouldn't release. We understood that when it expired we'd be advised, and be able to register it in our name then.

Nope...

About 2 weeks ago, they hijacked the domain name, and although they told me on Thursday that it was going to be released immediately, and told me on Friday that it had been released, it's been about 60 hours, and what should only take 24 hasn't happened yet.

I'm going to draft a Complaint on monday and send a copy to them instead of actually filing it in court, and hopefully they will see The Error Of Their Ways.

Until then, please find all Riddikulus fics at riddikulus.fictionalley.org.

Grrr.

Aren't domain names SO much fun sometimes? *growls*

That sucks. Hopefully it'll all work out.

I love my Riddikulus, thanks for giving us a temporary solution!
