Why is it that I am...

thrilled to have my Paul McCartney tickets in hand, but my mum, who I usually go to concerts (Springsteen, Billy Joel, Elton John) with has no interest in going, even though she's told me how miserable she was back in the 60s when she wasn't ever allowed to go to a Beatles concert?

And am I complete geek for having even invited my parents to go with us?

*squeeee!* I'm totally jealous I love Sir Paul. He puts on an awesome show I can't believe your mum doesn't want to go. I'm hoping he'll come to Denver or Pheonix so I have a chance to go. And no you're not a complete geek for inviting your parents.

It doesn't make you a geek. Or maybe it does, I don't know, but I would invite *my* mother!! ;) Have a great time... I love Paul!

Actually, my mom is my favorite person to do things with; and I enjoy going places with my parents. So I'm a geek if you're a geek! :P

And, I saw Paul McCartney in concert years ago...with my parents. :) It was a lot of fun; and Linda McCartney played on an upright piano that had been very groovily painted, I really liked that piano....

If it wasn't passe to make Linda jokes (poor Linda) I would ask whether she played or just stood behind and moved her hands a lot, but it is so I won't.

Heh, well, we were too far away to be able to tell. Although, the piano was on a platform, that at one point was raised up above the stage and revolved and went back and forth, and I can tell you that the look on her face via the big monitors indicated that it was probably *not* her idea to do that strange and scary thing....

You're totally non-geeky. If it weren't for the fact that I know my mom would be completely uncomfortable going with me to concerts and such, I would invite her places. I usually mock-invite her to go out with my friends with me but if she ever called me on it, I'd be pleased to have her along. I've come to the startling conclusion that if I weren't her daughter, I'd very probably be friends with her anyways.

I love my mom! *resolves to go give her a big hug after sending this*

Have fun seeing Paul McCartney!

We're all geeks! I do most things with my mum... meh.. She's taking me to see Spartacus in a few weeks just so she has an excuse to go and perve on the ballet dancer guys.

I love my mummy.
