Omg brain splooey with awesomeness of the mohinder + nathan tag-team on peter who is then nabbed by claude bit.

: spends a few moments shipping mohinder/nathan

Plus, yay, hugh grant movie!

And who's taking a bet that Nathan is Claire's father?

Not as omgwtfsqueeeee as last week, which was 100% squeetastic, but with Sylar escaping, Micah finally telling DL about his powers (and stealing! oh, the woobie!), and Claire's mom the firestarter (who thinks they should've figured out *any* way for Drew Barrymore to take that role?) it was a clear 96% squee episode!

But wah, I thought Hannah actually showed up in this episode? And she didn't? Maybe next week?

I don't think that Sylar kills Mr Bennett at this point, though - hasn't he said that he has a scene with George Takei where he speaks Japanese? That hasn't happened yet...

I'd like to see the Petrelli brothers being related to Claire.
However, here is an alternate scenario:

Claire is the daughter of Linderman. None of the viewers know what he looks like yet, and he seems to be heavily connected to each of the main characters...
A) Hiro's sword
B) Isaac's paintings, including one of Claire
C) Nathan's campaign
D) Niki and DL
E) possibly Mr. Bennett's boss...
if so, then he might have been under orders to recruit Mohinder.
Because, although I do believe he cares deeply for Claire, Mr. Bennett has layers of ulterior motives.

There is definitely something hinky going on here.

I'll throw out one more theory:
Meredith Gordon was a single mother who blames her pyrokinetic ability for the death of her daughter. What if the fire was intentionally set, in order to kidnap Claire?

Linderman is a mob boss, right? Probably has a wife and family, and keeps a mistress or two on the side... What if his mistress has a child? Would he want to get rid of the evidence or try to take the child away from her mother?

Here's what I think happened the night of the fire:

Meredith confronts Linderman, and tells him that he has a child. She demands child support. He refuses. Maybe she threatens to tell his wife about their affair. Linderman retaliates; he threatens to tell everyone that she is a pyromaniac, and then she will lose custody of her daughter. Maybe she tells him, "Go to Hell."
He leaves, but promises that she will regret this. Later on, he orders his goons to set fire to her apartment. Maybe he just wants to scare her. Maybe his intent is to kidnap the child. Either way, the fire consumes the apartment, injuring Claire. Mr. Bennett takes her to the hospital. (Perhaps she makes a miraculous recovery.) Then, the Haitian alters Meredith's memory of the fire. Linderman offers to help her start over. She assumes a new identity since it is believed that she died in the fire.

The end result is that Meredith thinks her child is dead and that it is all her fault.

Okay, your theory? Very interesting and intriguing.
I can't wait until we do meet Linderman regardless, whenever that time arises.
